This Afternoon. I Met The One That I Miss Recently

Today.. I met him.. the one that I miss recently...

Something about him that I cant forget.. hoho.. he has beautiful eyes, and my heart just like stop beating for a while when he’s smiling, haha.. it sounds weird.. but yes, he is the one that I miss recently..

It was rain in January when I decided to take a walk with someone after I broke up. And that was also the bad romance day I got with him.. haha.. why I say bad romance? I like him.. I like him a lot! Really.. but I guess that was just not the right time for us.. (for me as well) to make a new ‘untrusted’ relationship.. kayanya gw terlalu cepat untuk percaya bahwa gw udah nemuin ‘pengganti’ yang bs gw jadikan layaknya ‘my charming romeo prince’..

We have the same good tastes of music.. film.. and everything that i care about! What a perfect match.. hehe.. honestly.. he is a kind of boy that I like sooo much.. he is cute.. tall, he just act like he dont care.. but he just know how to act! God.. (finally I found the right words, haha) and above all.. he likes cat! Huwoooo... haha...

I was first met him at our Division meeting, he came late at that time. My kadep said that he’s face was ‘nyebelin’ haha.. we worked together in the same division. Well.. I dont have anything to be spoken.. he was just a boy.. nothing special (when the first time i saw him). Until someday after our meeting.. it was a lit bit rain, and he said that he’s hungry.. well.. ‘me too’ I said.. ‘lets go find a food!” and we were just walking in the rain.. i dont know why, but he likes ‘soto’ very much. He told me we wont eat together unless we eat soto.. well, ini anak, maksudnya apa coba.. kenal juga baru beberapa minggu, ketemu jarang.. pake ngatur2 gw mau makan apa. Tp at least, I do like soto too.. ga ada salahnya, haha..

I know him right after our dinner at that time. We talked about many things.. music.. film.. jesse mc cartney..(haha) his best friend, his family.. cats.. everything =) Gw pikir cwo kaya diua ga suka kucing, tnyata gw salah.. haha..

After several ‘blank’ sms that he sent.. several words to say.. several facebook comments.. he ask me to go out.. wow.. i dont care what the words he said.. but yes. I did think that I need someone.. and i need some fun!

I like him. And i want to know him better.. so.. i said “I do, why not?”

Sooo.. we watch film that time.. we went to several stores.. go home at big rain afternoon, see the rainbow, pass the duku palembang.. hahaha..

We seldom meet after that, he is busy.. me too.. we just meet when we have a meeting.

Dan segera saja.. semua kenangan buruk dan pikiran2 burukku melintas. He will dump me just like my EX did. Dia terlihat tidak terlalu berbeda.. dengan pemikirannya yang agak holistik yang mempertanyakan mengenai kekuasaan dan kewenangan Tuhan.. its just too deep.. (percaya ga percaya itu yg smpat kita obrolkan bersama, ga penting bgt yak? Haha.. )

Aku senang tiap bertemu dengannya.. dia tetap bergaya cool just like a ‘brandal’ prince, hahaha..

Tertawa bersamanya menjadi hiburan indah yang kadang tertutup dengan bayang pekat hitam yang datang dari masa lalu. Beribu pikiran negatif datang dan seakan menutupiku dengan setiap halaman kenangan sedih masa lalu. Ah! Aku rasa aku belum terlalu bisa melupakan masa lalu.. bukan.. bukan melupakan ‘dia’ di masa lalu. Aku juga bukan tidak mau berusaha membangun kembali. Tapi aku takut.. takut tersakiti karena alasan yang sama.

Dia, the one that I miss recently.. just came too fast.. I’m sorry.. aku sadar aku bersikap dingin dan berbeda kepadanya di hari-hari itu.. aku hanya butuh waktu. Butuh waktu untuk meyakinkan diriku bahwa ini nyata. Bahwa dia tidak akan meninggalkanku.. tapi beribu kali aku mencoba tetap saja bayang masa lalu itu datang..

maaf.. maaf untuk bersikap seakan tidak pernah terjadi apapun..

ingatkah kau saat kau bilang kau suka melukis? Haha.. I hope someday you can give me your paint just like what you said.. Do you remember when you said that you want to make a long last realationship? haha.. I dont know why but I kinda feels happy.. haha.. =)

Aku sekarang sadar aku sangat merindukanmu.. maaf membuat hubungan ini seakan yang layu sebelum berkembang. I just miss you recently.. I miss you so much until my heart just scream for wishing to rewind those memories with you.. I miss you until I cried when I heard the song that you gave me..

Farewell Leslie Nielsen

It seems like only last week that I was writing a brief obit for another Canadian personality, Maury Chaykin ... and today is sad, because we farewell a Canadian legend, never mind a personality. Leslie Nielsen passed away at the age of 84, of pneumonia. He was born in Regina, Saskatchewan, in 1926, and and the first time I saw him he was on another planet ... a forbidden planet, in fact.

Across more than 40 years I saw him in more movies than I can count, but I'll always remember him as Buck Frobisher in Due South. The show's folk lore says that the film crew didn't even know how to lace Constable Benton Fraser's Mountie boots up right, till Leslie showed 'em how when he guest-starred in an early first season episode. Turns out, his dad had been a Mountie!

Farewell, Leslie Nielsen. You will definitely be missed by about three generations of movie and TV fans. Here's the whole story on IMDB, in far more depth than I could hope to approximate here.

Okaaay.. bukannya mengerjakan SP, tapi hari ini gw malah nulis blog .. ckckc.. 
Gw pengen mengenalkan ato lebih tepatnya mengenal lebih dekat satu sosok penyanyi  favorit gw, LENKA.. untuk pertama kalinya gw download semua lagu yang bersumber dari satu album dan satu penyanyi (iyyalaah...). I was falling in love for the whole album.. She's amazing! 
Ga semua orang mungkin baal suka dengan tipe dan jenis musik yang dia punya, tp well, for me.. gw jarang salah pilih klo masalah musik yang gw suka.. hehehe..

seluruh keluarga gw suka sama lagu-lagunya dia.. my favourite song in this album was"we will not grow old" the song is sooooo coool.. belum pernah denger lagu enak dengan jenis musik kaya gini sebelumnya.. Adek gw suka sama lagu "anything I'm not" I know why she loves that song, lagu ini punya lirik yang bagus.. sama bagus kaya "we willl not grow old" tapi beda aliran.. maksud gw beda aliran tuh 'anything I'm not' lebih menceritakan bagaimana dia menggambarkan dirinya sebagai seorang cewek.. dia bilang dy punya banyak kekurangan dalam dirinya, bahkan kadang dia lelah untuk menjadi dirinya.. tapi dia sadar dia akan selalu menjadi dirinya, awalnya gw pikir lagu ini berisi keluhan.. haha.. tapi setelah gw denger berkali-kali, lagu ini isinya gmana cara kita menerima kekurangan dan kelebihan diri kita sendiri, bahkan kadang gw denger lagu ini kaya semangat. Semangat untuk bisa keluar dari semuanya yang dia pikir dia ga bisa. ada juga lagu yang bikin kita semangat lagi kaya "Bring me down", lagu ini juga ga kalah bagus.. Okay, back to the topic of the top, 'we will not grow old' juga punya lirik yang indah.. kayanya Lenka cerita gimana dia dan her 'special someone' punya mimpi tentang kehidupan mereka.. giaman dia percaya orang itu akan selalu menjaga semangat mereka untuk tetap n=meraih mimpi yang mereka cita-citakan, ohh so sweeet.. 

Oh iya, jangan lupakan lagu  'The Show'. "The Show", produced by Stuart Brawley, has been featured as soundtrack for an Old Navy as well as an Ugly Betty promo, the film Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, and the 2009 Spring Campaign of the Polish TV station TVN, and was promoted as an iTunes Free Single of the Week. lagu ini emang baguuuuuuus.. bgt. gw sempat negerkomendasiin lagu ini ke bebrapa temen, dan mereka benar2 suka sama lagu ini.. 
ada lagi lagunya lenka yang cukup dikenal, "Trouble is A Friend" hmm.. nice song.. gw heran ada salah satu temen gw yang pernah mencela lagu ini.. ckck.. dia aja yang ga tau musik bagus, pake dicela segala. huh.. loh? hehe.. tapi ga usah dengerin dia.. lagu ini bagus. papa gw suka sama lagu ini.. (eh, jgn mikir ini lagu bapak-bapak ya?) tapi lagu ini emang sejenis lagu easy listening buat semua kalangan.. 
lagu yang menyenangkan lagi buat didengerin adalah 'knock-knock'. gw suka dengan ide dia. ko bisa kepikir ya bikin lagu dengan tema ini.. knock-knock kan bunyi ketukan pintu? haha.. hebat, disini dy cerita di menunggu pujaan hatinya datang buat bukain pintu buat dia..  "I need your smile" katanya.. (hmm.. gw tau gmana rasanya...) hehe.. indah sekali lagunya. 
ada juga lagu yang sedih.. judulnya 'like a song" hhuu.. suk sedih denger lagu ini.. mempertanyakan tentang kepergian pujaan hatinya.. dia seakan mempertanyakan pada dirinya pada dirinya sendiri. so sad.. but beautiful..  


masih banyak lagu-lagu lain yang ga kalah indah.. kaya 'Force of Nature' yang unik penuh misteri tapi easy listening juga.. hehe.. "dont let me fall" yang juga sempat dijadiin theme iklan di Canada. trus 'Live Like You're Dying" yang juga berisi semangat.. 
coba dengerin deh.. ga bakal nyesel dah dah download lagu-lagu itu. =) 

Captain Jack ... what's in a name?

And apparently, when the name is "Captain Jack," there's a heck of a lot in it. In fact, I was very tempted to chuck all the images in here and say, "There, sort them out yourself!" But no. Would I do that to you? Well, I probably would if I didn't have the time to do this properly, but since I do...!

There's at least EIGHT Captain Jacks that I know of, and you could probably find someone out there who knows some more. But right now let's have a look at the eight of 'em. This gallant company starts with the one you probably know best, or second-best:

Let me transport you back to 1980, or thereabouts. Captain Jack Vincent ... the show was Smuggler, a young adults' adventure series set in the Napoleonic Wars. Some episodes were too juvenile to really "travel well" across the generations, but some were absolutely top-notch. This Captain Jack was brooding, simmering ... smuggling in fact. So there's Number Four. Next?

Your grandmom would tell you, maybe with a quiver in her voice, that John Wayne wasn't always old and grizzled. You demand the evidence before you believe? Okay, you got it. Our generation didn't invent gorgeous, we only think we did:

And this here, with the hat and the major sideburns in the color still above, is Captain Jack ... Stewart. The movie is Reap the Wild Wind, and it's still a good watch, about sixty years later! So that's Captain Jack number 5. Next?

Not sure if I'd call Billy's music "timeless." Not usually my kind of thing, actually, but there sure is a Captain Jack coming at you from this direction ... and if you're in the mood for two Captain Jacks for the price of one again, here's Billy Joel's Jack, plus the one in the greatcoat ... Would give anything for a CD version, but you can't beg, borrow or steal them.
